I was a Reader in Philosophy and the Image at Central Saint Martins, University of the Arts, London. Currently, I am Professor Adjunct at the University of South-Eastern Norway. My interests are in the trans-disciplinary fields of lens-based images, contemporary theory and the convergence of art and psychoanalysis. I am the lead investigator on a mad project of bringing together artists, philosophers, curators and writers to explore the fate of the photographic image online. I was awarded AHRC research grant (jointly with Prof. Johnny Golding) that allowed the setting up of a transdisciplinary research network to try and really make a difference in this field both locally (London) and internationally.
